Yesterday and today were to be hot days - reaching up to 110 degrees. I'm not sure how high it got, but hot is hot, and humidity is the killer.
We went to the beach mid-morning with all our equipment: "swimmies" (arm floatation devices), a tube, a baby flotation ring, sand toys, a beach blanket, some towels, a chair - all loaded into a sroller along with Tuana.
The sea has been calm since we came last week. Everyday flat - with hardly a wave. Warm - some days the water stagnant with debris (from Greece, or so we always blame it on...), some days with suspicious bubbles on things floating on the surface (I'm convinced its sewage), and other days ... well .. just perfect. Clean, cool, turquoise. The ocean, no the Mediterranean, suits me. I've always enjoyed swimming. I loved the Jersey shore. But the Mediterranean is like a dream to me - even on its dirtiest days - I revel in perfection of this path I am on: a husband I expected but could never imagine, children ... their beauty and joy these days, and chance to spend summer like this.
Minneota lakes and cabins are beautiful. Jersey shore houses are pretty cool too. But this, this - especially with its imperfections - this is me.
You are the best gift, even a miracle in my life, my dear wife :)
